Trust Is Not a Feeling. It Is a System. Balkan companies exporting to the EU often believe that trust is a matter of relationships. Years of working together. Personal contacts. A good reputation in the industry. That used to be enough. An EU buyer subject to the CSDDD must control risks throughout its entire value chain. That means your buyer is not simply choosing your product or service. It is also choosing your ability to demonstrate that, by working with you, it can meet its own obligations. If you cannot do that \u2014 you are not simply a supplier without ESG documentation. The risk is invisible. The consequences are felt. And by the time a company realises that the problem is in its system \u2014 rather than its price, quality or relationship \u2014 the contract has already been lost.
